Drive-in movie theaters in RI
Rhode Island has two drive-in movie theaters that are open spring through early-mid fall for a fun, outdoor movie experience. The Rustic Tri-Vue Drive-in is in North Smithfield and has been showing movies since 1951. They've got three screens and a full snack bar. Admission is $27 a car load for first-run movies, from April through October. In the southern part of the state, the Misquamicut Drive-in in Westerly has been showing movies since 2013. Located across the highway from Misquamicut Beach, they've got water views, onsite concessions and charge $15 a carload for classic movies from May through September. There are other pop-up outdoor movie events (think Rocky Point, parks and other outdoor spaces) throughout the warmer months so keep and eye on the events calendar.
