Pride Season 2025: Let's Celebrate
Welcome to Rhode Island, a powerhouse of pride, love, and pure queer magic that'll make your heart soar! We're talking about a place where diversity isn't just welcomed, it's celebrated with confetti cannons, danced to with wild abandon, and baked into the most spectacular artisan cupcakes you've ever tasted. Since that first groundbreaking PrideFest in 1995, Rhode Island has been leading the charge for equality with enough sass and spirit to light up the entire Eastern Seaboard. And honey, we're just getting started!.
Providence PrideFest (June 21)
Get ready for the pinnacle of pride on Saturday, June 21, 2025, when Providence transforms into a rainbow-filled paradise of celebration and community. The festival kicks off at 11:30 AM at the I-195 District Park, bringing together more than 250 nonprofit organizations, businesses, and food vendors in a vibrant celebration of LGBTQIA+ culture. Expect a day packed with excitement: multiple stages featuring live performances, drag shows that'll make you gag, local and national musical acts, and community booths representing every corner of Rhode Island's diverse LGBTQIA+ landscape.
Foodies will rejoice at the array of food trucks and local vendors serving up delicious eats. From gourmet street food to artisan treats, there's something to satisfy every craving. The main stage becomes a hub of entertainment, with performances ranging from heart-stopping drag performances to live music that'll have you dancing all day long.
Interactive zones throughout the festival celebrate LGBTQIA+ history, offer resources, and provide spaces for community connection. Local artists, activists, and organizations will showcase their work, creating a powerful tapestry of representation and pride.
But the real magic happens as the day transitions into night. At 8:00 PM, the Illuminated Night Parade takes over, transforming downtown Providence into a glittering spectacle of light, color, and unbridled joy. As New England's only nighttime pride parade, it's a breathtaking display that turns the city into a canvas of celebration.
