For the last 90 years, The Greenwich Odeum (originally the Greenwich Theatre) has stood proudly as an arts and entertainment venue. Built in 1926, at the end of vaudeville’s heyday, The Greenwich Theatre originally played host to silent films and live performers eventually providing solely film based entertainment to patrons for over six decades. The Greenwich Odeum is an intimate venue where every seat is excellent. Our theater is situated on a quaint Norman Rockwell-esque Main Street, in a very safe area with a dozen (or more) nearby pre- and post-theater bars and restaurants. The Greenwich Odeum is also available for your event! The theater is an ideal location for performance related activity activities, but also for corporate, business or organizational meetings. Host a cocktail reception, show a film, throw a party! Outside of Providence, no other Rhode Island theater can offer the pre- and post- event nighttime activities that the Odeum offers with Main Street's 20 restaurants and bars. Your guests will look forward to your special event and we look forward to helping you host it!
