Hale House
Former summer home of American author Rev. Dr. Edward Everett Hale (1822-1909) and his family of artists and writers. The second Empire-Style home was built in 1873 and was the anchor for Matunuck summer art colony of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Period rooms restored to 1890's appearance. Art gallery, period rooms, gallery space, and cultural programs from June to October.
