Our centrally located store in Wyatt Square in Middletown proudly serves both the year-round and seasonal communities of Aquidneck Island. Rhode Island Monthly has named us the best independent bookstore in Newport County every year since 2006!
At ISLAND BOOKS, we pride ourselves on our carefully chosen selection of titles in fiction, biography, history and current issues. We are the best around for books of local-interest, and Indies Firsthave a robust selection of cookbooks and books about gardening and green living. Rounding out our wide-ranging inventory are sections in art, business and personal growth. Of course, no bookstore is complete without a children’s section full of classics and new favorites for all ages. Ours is second to none!
