The Margin Street Inn was built in 1849 on the banks of the Pawcatuck River in Westerly RI. It was the first of five houses built that made up the historic Perry Homestead, a residential grouping of great distinction to the town of Westerly. In 2014, the Inn was bought from the original family and renovated top to bottom with the highest level of attention paid to every detail. The Margin Street Inn offers five well-appointed, tastefully decorated bedrooms all with private baths.
The Inn strives to provide guests a low key, casual elegance in which every need is taken care of. A European fare breakfast of fresh baked goods, local “Frittatas”, homemade granola and fresh fruit is provided daily along with snacks and drinks on the sun porch in the evening. The Inn is surrounded by seven acres of manicured grounds with magnificent specimen trees and 4 “barn” out buildings. There is a dock to come by boat or to fish and explore the river. In the Spring of 2018, the renovations on a second house will be finished providing an additional 5 bedrooms and a second set of common living areas to the Inn.
