I’m Schantel, owner of Maxine Baked. I’m a wife, daughter, sister, friend and baking enthusiast. My love for cake is homegrown through countless hours spent working side by side, in the kitchen, with my grandmother. Grammie Maxine, keeper of my family, was and remains my biggest influence. She was a woman who took absolute pleasure in preparing homemade meals and desserts for her family. Her baking in particular, was always from scratch and made with the utmost love and care. Over the past few years, baking has worked its way through my heart. What I thought was just a hobby has developed into a fulfilling business. I’m so happy to have the pleasure of sharing some of my grandmother’s home-style recipes with you. All of which have been carefully curated to give you all the feels of family and love.
