The Prudence Island Historical Museum, under the ownership and supervision of the Prudence Island Historical & Preservation Society (PIHPS), is dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and promoting the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Prudence Island. The mission is to maintain and expand a collection of historic artifacts, manuscripts, photographs, and printed material relating to the history of Prudence Island; disseminate information through research, publications, exhibitions, and public programs; and to foster an appreciation and understanding of local island history in audiences of all ages.
