Rhode Island Watercolor Society (RIWS) is one of the oldest watercolor organizations in America!
It provides artists and the general public the opportunity to view, purchase, exhibit and learn about watermedia art. RIWS offers classes, workshops and demonstrations by nationally and regionally acclaimed artists. RIWS also organizes educational trips to art exhibitions.
Located in the JC Potter Casino Building, a historic lakeside “boathouse” in Slater Memorial Park, RIWS features an art gallery, library and studio space. The gallery hosts numerous shows per year, including a National Watermedia Competition.
