The Avenue Concept

The Avenue Concept is a nonprofit organization focused on producing dynamic and high-quality public art experiences that connect people to their community. Founded in Providence, RI in 2012, The Avenue Concept was the city’s first privately administered public art program. Since then, we have produced more than 200 artworks in partnership with 180 artists and communities, dramatically changing the look, feel, and engagement with the Providence cityscape. Storytelling and documentation are central to our work, and we actively promote artists and their stories. Our goal is to build environments where art thrives, encouraging people to interact with art, with their communities, and with each other.
