ROGER WILLIAMS PARK ZOO
JACK-O-LANTERN SPECTACULAR

Step inside the Rhode Island building to get a preview of this year's spooktacular event, running September 29 through October 31, where thousands of hand-carved pumpkins twinkle throughout the grounds of the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence. This year's theme celebrates 75 years of television and guests will share in the nostalgia of their favorite tv shows, artistically carved on thousands of pumpkins. From Mr. Ed to The Walking Dead, this year's Spectacular has something for everyone. Visitors will have a "yabba-dabba-do time" while "taking a break from all their troubles," as the shows' musical theme songs accompany this must-see experience.

RAIL EXPLORERS

Take a tour with Rail Explorers and experience the magic of the railroad like never before! Ride the rails on pedal-powered 'Rail Explorers' - a unique activity suitable for everyone. One of five locations in the country, the Rhode Island tour operates along the Old Colony Railroad, built in 1862. The rails meander alongside spectacular Narragansett Bay, offering riders unique views that include Jamestown, the Mount Hope Bridge, Hog Island Lighthouse, and coastal woodlands. Riders on the Southern Circuit are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy at Bayside Station during the 20-minute turnaround. Sunday morning brunch tours along with sunset and fireside tours and a new evening lantern ride!
