Blithewold is a 33-acre summer estate with grand views of Narragansett Bay and is nationally significant in American history as one of the most fully developed and authentic examples of the Country Place Era.

Block Island North Lighthouse

Conimicut Lighthouse

Conimicut Lighthouse is located at the entrance to the Providence River in Narragansett Bay, sitting on Conimicut Point Shoal. It was built as a lighted aid for mariners in 1868.

The Elms

Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge

Trustom Pond Wildlife Refuge encompasses over 700 acres of varied wildlife habitat and is home to approximately 300 bird species, more than 40 mammal species, and 20 species of reptiles and amphibians.

Roger Williams Botanical Center

The Roger Williams Park Botanical Center is the largest public indoor display garden in New England. The Conservatory and greenhouses encompass approximately 12,000 square feet of gardens. 

The Breakers

The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. It was more recently one of the filming locations for HBO's The Gilded Age.

How to set a virtual background on Google Meet:

  • Right-click on the background images above to download
  • Open Google Meet web -- 'https://meet.google.com/'
  • Select a meeting.
  • On the bottom right of your self-view, click "Change Background."
  • Choose any of the existing background images or click on the "Add" button to upload the image of your choice.

How to set a virtual background on Microsoft Teams:

  • Right-click on the background images above to download
  • When you are in a Microsoft Teams call, click the three dots on the meeting settings bar.
  • Select "show background effects"
  • Choose your background from the background settings pane.
  • Either preview or select "Apply" to enable your background.
