Join us with author Kyleigh Leddy to discuss her new book (a staff favorite!) "Worse Than Strangers," a debut novel for fans of Jane Austen, Elin Hilderbrand, and Gilmore Girls, Worse Than Strangers is a beachy retelling of Austen’s Persuasion set against the backdrop of a cottage on Nantucket about finding romance, second chances, and a new path in life.

Kyleigh will be in conversation with Kylie Swanson, travel content creator and soon to be author.

Kyleigh Leddy is the author of The Perfect Other: A Memoir of My Sister, which is based on her New York Times Modern Love essay, “Years Ago, My Sister Vanished. I See Her Whenever I Want.” Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, New York magazine, Parents, and QCODE, among others. In 2023, she was named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Media list. She holds a BA from Boston College and an MSW from Columbia University. She is a licensed therapist and teaches creative writing at Gotham Writers in NYC.

Kylie Swanson is a travel content creator and writer exploring the world full-time. A storyteller at heart, she is in the process of writing her first book, a memoir chronicling her adventures traveling around the world in two years, from Hawai’i and back. She is currently partnering with brands and writing her way through the east coast with her husband and son.
