Join us at 2:00 pm for a dynamic reading by Joe Wilson Jr. of Frederick Douglass' iconic speech, "What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?" followed by a talk focused on Douglass' time and experiences in New Bedford, MA with Rufai Shardow, New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park Ranger titled "Walking in the Footsteps of Douglass."

 

Light refreshments will follow. Admission is free but reservations are encouraged to help us with planning and set up.
